Perrie Edwards was beamining with pride when she spoke about her famous boyfriend this monring.

The Little Mix singer has been dating One Direction’s Zayn Malik since April of this year and was on hand in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday to watch as he and his bandmates performed for a worldwide audience of more than one billion people.

The blonde beauty admitted that she had the time of her life at the event and speaking about 1D’s performance of their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ she said:

“It was amazing! I think the boys did so well. Everyone was amazing.”

Edwards added:

“I was just sitting in the audience feeling so proud to be British and to be there.

‘The ceremony was incredible and and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I loved it.”

We reported on the night that Zayn and Perrie were spotted kissing and cuddling after he performed on the big moving lorry, however other sources have claimed that before making his way back to the seating area, Malik came on to a backing dancer and asked for her phone number through his security team.

Meanwhile The X factor returns this Saturday night and Little Mix have mixed feelings about the show’s comeback. Perrie thinks she’ll feel a bit ill while watching the first episode and said:

‘I think I’m going to feel really sick watching it, I’ll be really nervous. It’ll be weird, but it will be good.’

Her bandmate Leigh-Ann added that she won’t want to see other hopefuls working with her former mentor, adding:

‘It’s going to be weird seeing other acts with Tulisa. It’s like she’s ours. It’ll be weird.’

Jesy Nelson said:

‘It has gone really, really quickly but we are so excited to watch it this Saturday.’
