We love the fact that One Direction don’t feel that they are above the X Factor these days.

So many reality TV stars try to distance themselves from their past once they make it in the music industry, but Niall Horan admitted yesterday that he still keeps up to date with the Australian version of the show, after the band guest mentored with Ronan Keating last month and Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter last night to reveal that he was watching the most recent episode of the UK series.

The handsome singer – who of course shot to fame when he tried out for the ITV show as a solo singer in 2010 but was asked to join a boyband named One Direction instead – told his followers yesterday that he has a few clear favourites too, tweeting:

‘Catching up on xfactor !!’

‘James Arthur and Lucy Spraggan smashed bootcamp !! Also that Adam guy with the hat I would buy his record love his voice !’

All three of Lou Lou’s picks have made it into the final 24 and recently took part in the judges houses rounds. It is not yet known if they made the final 12 for the live shows.

He chose three singers who all like to either sing their own songs, or put a completely different spin on classic, so it seems clear that Tomlinson wants someone a little bit different to triumph on the series this year.

While Louis was enjoying his X Factor marathon, his girlfriend Eleanor Calder was also catching up on her TV viewing.

She tweeted her followers yesterday, revealing:

‘The weather is so miserable I have been sat inside all day watching Don’t Tell the Bride..tragic!’

We can just imagine her and Louis, all curled up on the sofa, covered in slankets and eating twixs dunked in a huge mug of tea. It sounds cosy doesn’t it?
