Niall Horan and Liam Payne made the day of several hundred 1D fans this afternoon, as they gave an impromptu performance at Westfield shopping centre.

Teenage girls screamed at the top of their lungs, as the handsome One Direction singers showed up at the retail village in Shepherd’s Bush, London and gave them a quick rendition of their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’

There had been some online rumours before the event and some fans seemed to know that the teen idols would be appearing at the venue in the afternoon but nothing was officially confirmed before the lads took to the quickly erected stage.

It was reported recently that Niall has become a bit of a dab hand with his guitar skills and he revealed that he has even been playing on some of the tracks on the group’s new record.

At today’s short gig, the Irish star brought his instrument along too and accompanied Liam at times, as he showcased his impressive vocals.

Fans should probably make the most of the appearance as very soon 1D will be returning to America to put the finishing touches to their second album. It is thought that the lads will be out of the country for at least three weeks.
