Generous and kind hearted One Direction band member Niall Horan has foregone a boozy night on the town and/or a party with his mates for his forthcoming 19th birthday, choosing instead to host a charity event at home in Ireland.

Contact music report today that on his birthday – which is September 13th – Niall will be at his home in Mullingar preparing to oversee the fund raising event which hopes to raise as much cash as possible for the Irish Autism Action charity as well as a homelessness support organisation called Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar (T.E.A.M.).

The fundraiser will be co-hosted by Boyzone star Keith Duffy, whose daughter Mia is of course autistic. On Twitter, Keith urged fans of Boyzone and of course 1D to buy tickets and to turn up at the event…

He tweeted, “Pls (please) join Niall Horan on his b’day (sic) 13th Sept in Mullingar to raise funds for Irish Autism & Team!”

Of his co-hosting duties, Niall said, “I am delighted and honoured to be in the fortunate position of being able to give back to my community.

“The plan for my birthday, which is on the 13th of September, is to raise as much money as possible for Iaa and T.E.A.M. and at the same time ensuring that both events are successful and fun for everyone involved.”
