All you original One Directioners can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as the boys are coming home.

After spending the last two and a half months touring in America, Australia and New Zealand, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles will finally be touching down on British soil this week, as their international concerts are wrapped up for the time being.

It seems like the boys have been away forever, though strangely there have been more news stories, more radio interviews and more video clips going around than ever before but now One Direction will be getting a well earned break from their duties….for a while.

The band performed their last gig in New Zealand yesterday, after causing havoc when they arrived in the country last week and almost had the airport shut down. Harry Styles has thanked all their Kiwi on Twitter, writing:

‘Thank you to everyone who came to the Australia/New Zealand tour! Wr had so much fun an you were all amazing. See you soon .xx’

Niall Horan also tweeted his gratitude, saying:

‘What an amazing night, we had such a laugh on stage, hope you enjoyed it, as much as we did ! Much love Australia and new zealand thank you soo much for the amazing welcoming over the last few weeks , we love you all.can’t wait for next year.’

Liam always was the wordy one of the bunch and wrote half an essay, posting:

“and so another tour has ended and i just want to say how amazing it has been
we have such a great time on the road i really wish you guys could see just how much fun we have as i know lots of people seem to think that our friendship is fake and its all put on.
i literally spend every day with these boys and they are my best mates they know everything about me and so do i about them, and i have to say im so glad that they are the boys that got picked because vie never met four nicer lads who i really get along with and make me laff no matter what mood im in.
so here come the thankyous
you guys have literally been amazing every place we have toured in all over you guys always show your support in so many ways and we love you guys for it
without you i wouldn’t have met my best friends or any of my new friends vie found along the way so thank you so much for the best opportunity ever and i hope next tour will be as fun as this one for all of you
love you all liam “

Next year of course relates to the fact that the boys have already announced a brand new arena tour down under for 2013, just after their first ever large scale UK arena tour in the same year.

1D won’t get much of a rest either, as after a few shirt weeks at home – in which Niall Horan is expected to spend a lot of time in Ireland – they will be jetting off across the Atlantic again for their summer arena tour of the US, where they will be supported by fellow X Factor star Olly Murs.
