Perrie Edwards has admitted that she isn’t above taking career advice from her boyfriend.

The Little Mix singer has been dating One Direction star Zayn Malik for the past few months – though he has spent at least half of the duration of their relationship out of the country – and in advance of releasing her band’s debut single, she revealed that she welcomes input from her experienced lover.

Speaking to Glamour magazine, the X Factor winner were asked:

Zayn Malik gave you some advice yesterday. He said: “Just work hard and hope for the best.” What advice would you give him?

“Oh, shut your mouth Zayn…”

Thankfully, Edwards was a little more polite and admitted that she hasn’t had enough success yet to offer 1D any useful advice, but said that she is open to any tips they may have for her band.

She said:

“Jade said ‘shut your mouth’. I don’t know, obviously I can’t be giving him advice because One Direction and everything they’re doing is right, that’s why they’re so successful and everything they’re doing is amazing.”

The blonde beauty is getting ready to release Little Mix’s debut single ‘Wings’ later this summer and admitted:

‘We’re still learning!’

She continued:

“That’s what’s good as well about being so close to One Direction is that they always give advice like that, so it’s nice to have people in the industry that we’re friends with.”

Perrie does like Zayn for more than his career advice and recently admitted that she thinks their relationship is so ‘special’ because they both work in similar jobs, are aware of all the drawbacks and challenges of the music industry and understand each other’s jobs so well.
