With only a few days to Christmas the One Direction boys are getting more and more excited about the big day and Santa’s arrival.

Zayn Malik has been more chatty than usual on Twitter this week and as he was getting ready to leave America and return to the UK for the festive period, he tweeted his fans about his excitement, writing:

“Morning!! X Factor tonight and then home for Christmas! xx”

Zayn hates being away from his girlfriend Perrie Edwards, especially because she’s been very ill recently and spent much of the last month recuperating after surgery on her throat.

She seems to be well on the road to recovery thankfully and has spent this week getting her home ready for Christmas. She started off by putting up a large light up polar bear.

She loves her new addition but it seems she’s not the only one as her and Malik’s new puppy has taken a shine to it too and she posted a picture of the pup lying on the electrical item this week, with the caption:

“Just bought a light up polar bear for the house and Hatchi seems to like snuggling up to it! #socute Perrie <3.”

As well as baking some festive gingerbread men, Perrie has also been putting up her Christmas tree and even though Zayn was home for this bit of the decoarting, he admitted yesterday that he had been no help to Edwards at all.

“Perrie just finished decorating the tree I didn’t really help ha sorry x”
