Debby Ryan has put the minds of One Direction fans everywhere at ease today, as she denied rumours that she is dating Niall Horan.

The Disney star had reportedly hooked up with the Irish crooner when he was taking part in his band’s American tour earlier this year however in an interview this afternoon, she insisted that she hasn’t even met the 1D hunk.

Speaking to American Idol presenter and radio DJ Ryan Seacrest, Denny said:

“I’ve never met Niall. I actually don’t know much about him other than that he’s in that band.”

She added: “I think there could be worse rumours, but I’m not dating him.”

Phew!

We reported earlier today that Horan had been pictured getting up close and personal with TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh yesterday, however insiders have assured Unreality TV that nothing is going on between the pair and that she is still happily engaged to her co-star Mario Falcone.

Happy days! Another worrying rumour bites the dust.

Meanwhile it seems that Niall is definitely not dating X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato either, as despite calling her ‘honey’ when he wished her happy birthday this week, he told reporters at V Festival that he ‘wished’ he was seeing her but was definitely single right now.
