One Direction 2012: Ronan Keating just followed the 1D boys on Twitter – looks like they’ll be working with him on Australian X Factor then!

We reported last week that One Direction would be working as guest mentors on the Australian version of The X Factor and we think we know which judge they will be assisting.

It had been rumoured that the teen idols would assist former Spice Girls star Mel B when she took her last group of hopefuls to judges houses, to choose her final team for the live shows.

However, we always thought it would be more likely that the stars would join forces with former Boyzone star Ronan Keating, since he has already met and spent time with fellow Irish singer, 1D member Niall Horan.

Ronan was already following Niall on Twitter but this afternoon he has literally just started following his bandmates Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles also.

Ronan played at a summer festival in Glenarm, Northern Ireland last weekend and is currently in the UK. He is now filming the new X Factor series and the dad of three tweeted today saying:

‘Morning all. In a secret location filming @xfactorau ‘

One Direction meanwhile have been in the studio working on their second studio album but we imagine they will meet with Ronan over the next few days, to film their scenes with the hopeful singers.

The boys worked with McFly until the early hours of this morning on new material for the record and Harry tweeted this morning saying:

‘Great writing session yesterday with @Dannymcfly @tommcfly and @dougiemcfly !! Can’t wait to work on the stuff..’

Do you think the lads will make good X Factor mentors? Leave your comments below……

Yeah course they will, they’re good at almost everything… but i dont like how xfactorau is purposefully putting together a band as well.. i think its kinda over-competitive and tri-hardish.. If they wanna create bands and massive hits it should be done on a separate show. By putting a band together, that act will have more support from the xfactor team and it just seems a little unfair towards the other acts.

I Think that One Direction working with Ronan Keating
is goiung to be a force to be reckon with.
