One Direction have enjoyed quite a lot of down time this summer but that could soon all be coming to an end.

Since completing their US tour at the start of July, the X Factor stars have been working on their second album, however they have also been granted a few days off each week and spent plenty of time hanging out with their friends and family at home in the UK.

Things are set to get busy again over the next few weeks, but luckily the lads still have a fun events to look forward to including two of their birthdays.

If rumours are to be believed, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson will be performing at the Olympics Closing Ceremony on August 12th.

It is thought that they will be jetting off to America at the end of the month, though this has not yet been confirmed but we do know that the lads will have a fun time planned for the 29th of August, as that is Liam’s 19th birthday.

Just a few days later, on September 1st, the singers will make an appearance on the Radio 1 breakfast show, for the first ever airplay of the lead single from their second album.

On the 6th of the month, they will be performing at the MTV VMAs, where they have also been nominated in two categories.

Almost one week later, on September 13th, Niall will be celebrating his birthday and the next day a new episode of “The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction” will be released, featuring their very own voices

Finally, on the 15th 1D will premiere the new music video for the single!
