One Direction 2012: Sony exec says 1D can expect to “double” their earnings next year!
They’ve broken records with their debut album, and they continue to go from strength to strength, being the most Googled band ever!
Today, Sony music executive Nick Gatfield has revealed that he “fully expects” the lads’ net worth to double next year. He added that in the last twelve months, the boys have earned around £32million.
He said, “We fully expect to double that £32million figure next year…
“The team around them, including musicians, stylists, producers, tour managers and so on, is 90-strong.
“That’s 90 jobs created by these five boys.”
Harry also treated himself to a new car, and Niall has tried to persuade his dad to let him buy a house for him, but his proud father won’t allow him to.
But as we reported earlier, Niall was hoping that he and his band mates could “chip in” to buy a mini-husky which would accompany them on tour, but he concluded that it would be too difficult to own a pet when they’re moving around the globe so much.
