Today, the Daily Mirror asks, “Are YOU One Direction’s biggest fan?” because if you are, then the paper are offering you the chance of a lifetime in their latest competition…

The paper have launched the competition to celebrate One Direction’s second birthday and the prizes on offer include a whole bunch of 1D merchandise and the chance to become a 1D reporter for the day with the paper.

Here’s what the Mirror states that you need to do and how to enter…

Write a One Direction related poem (it doesn’t have to rhyme, but we do like a good limerick) and attach a picture that proves why YOU are the biggest fan of 1D. Once you’re happy with your entry send it to sayhey@3am.co.uk with the email subject ‘I AM THE BIGGEST ONE DIRECTION FAN’…

The best 10 will be shortlisted and put on our Facebook page to face the public vote (cue dramatic music).

The person who has the most ‘likes’ on their entry after seven days will be crowned 3am’s Ultimate One Direction Fan, and join the 3am team in our office for a day to be our official correspondent for the boys.

Plus, we’ve joined up with the lovely people at HMV,  the UK’s leading entertainment and technology retailer, to give the winner a goody bag of more than 20 products – all One Direction merchandise  – including jewellery, iPhone cover, stationery set, messenger bag and more.

Competition opens the exact minute One Direction were formed – 23rd July, 8:22pm.
Entries close on 30th July 2012, 8:22pm, so you have exactly one week to write a masterpiece of poetry, and the finalists will be uploaded to 3am’s Facebook page soon after.

Good luck and, remember, you won’t get through unless you ‘like’ 3am.
