One Direction 2012: Zayn Malik copies Liam Payne & Louis Tomlinson and takes Perrie Edwards on surprise holiday
Zayn Malik has been very quiet on Twitter of late and we know the reason why.
The One Direction singer generally does tweet less than his bandmates – Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles – but since returning from America a few weeks ago he has almost dropped off the face of the earth, however it seems the hunk has been busy with other things.
His girlfriend Perrie Edwards celebrated her 19th birthday last week and at the time it was reported that the Little Mix singer and 1D star celebrated by hitting the local cinema and then heading out for a romantic meal. Today though, it has been claimed that actually Zayn booked the blonde beauty a surprise holiday.
Edwards’ bandmate Jade Thirlwall told Now about his romantic gesture, but didn’t reveal where the pair went, when she said:
‘It was a surprise – Zayn just said he was taking her away and they wanted some time alone.
‘It was really sweet. They’re so cute together.’
Jade also revealed that she totally approves of their relationship and thinks the couple are a good match for one another. She added:
‘Perrie really likes him and he’s very good to her.’
‘They’re just so into each other and they’re really happy.’
Zayn wasn’t the first 1D singer to treat the lady in his life to a holiday though. At the beginning of July, Louis took his girlfriend Eleanor Calder for a week long break in the south of France and the pair were spotted in Nice airport looking all loved up.
Meanwhile, Liam Payne and Danielle Peazer spent last weekend sightseeing in Venice, before returning to London on Monday so the band could continue work on their second album.
We are just glad that we now know the reason that Malik was absent from the studio last week, as when we spotted the other four boys all working hard on their new record, we did wonder if perhaps Perez Hilton was right and the handsome singer was considering leaving the band.

honastly i think that if zayn left the band i would cry for dayts and days on end because if either one of them where to leave the band, one direction wouldn’t be one direction without any of them!!!!! Perez Hilton can kiss my booty! I hate hearing that a member is “gonna leave the band”! If they didn’t say they will dont put words in their mouth .. Anyhoo I think zayn is sweet even though Im not a big fan of “Zerrie” I think it was cute that he took her to on a surprise holiday (: Ahaha <3
