One Direction have paid their respects to the late legendary singer Michael Jackson.

The X Factor stars took to the stage in Atlanta Georgia on Tuesday evening and marked the @’Bad’ hitmaker’s three year anniversary, which had occurred the day before.

Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne were responding to a request from a fan on Twitter who asked:

‘Will you sing a Michael Jackson song, in memory of him yesterday?’

The lads broke into their own version of ‘Man In The Mirror’, before answering a number of other questions put to them by their Twitter followers.

All the fun and frolics took place at The Arena at Gwinett in Atlanta on Tuesday, and last night, the band brought their lively performing skills to the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In a few days time the boyband will wrap up their US headline tour, after just three more sell out concerts. They are expected to return to the UK early next week, but American fans will have something to look forward to, as of course the singers have already released tickets for a gig at Madison Square Garden in New York in December.
