One Direction 2012: Zayn Malik says it was accusations of drug taking & cheating on Perrie Edwards that made him leave Twitter!
Zayn Malik has spoken out about why he decided to delete his Twitter account last night.
The One Direction singer closed down his page yesterday evening, saying that he was getting sick of all the online hate and negativity directed at him by so called fans and would prefer to stay away from the bad vibes.
After announcing that the band would have big news to reveal to their supporters tomorrow, Zayn addressed his five million followers and told them he was done with the micro blogging website.
After he departed the online world, many people hit out at Zayn’s girlfriend Perrie Edwards, saying that she had driven his decision.
However he explained why he made the choice today and revealed that it was accusations about him taking drugs that were the final straw.
He said:
‘Don’t worry about me, im fine. i just deleted my account because of all the hate i was getting just by tweeting something simple.
‘And all the rumours of me smoking weed and cheating. i dont need to read any of that negativity.’
Fans can breathe a sigh of releife though because Zayn tried to put their minds at rest and prove that he won’t be leaving 1D. on the contrary he says he will be directing all his efforts now into the group’s new album and single and insisted:
‘I’m just going to focus on the music for now. As long as you guys keep smiling, i will to x’
Liam Payne is an avid Twitter user, but it seems that sometimes the hate gets too much for him too.
The 1D hunk sympathises with his pal and said:
‘SometimesIHateTwitter when it becomes a place to abuse people who uve never met never did anything to you but you still choose to be cruel’.
We revealed earlier today that sources close to Malik think he’ll be back and just needs some time to cool off. His security guard tried to put fans minds at ease today, by telling them that he will return and if he does so in the next thirty days, he won’t lose any of his followers.

As a victim of cyber bullying I think he did the right thing. Instead of saying mean stuff back he removed himself from the negative environment. I do hope Zayns comes back, I love him and the other guys in One Direction, but if he doesn’t I understand. Love you lots, Zayn!
Ofcourse Zayn had the right to delete his twitter, I mean. We all would have done the same if numerous people who we have never met are causing unwanted drama. Us as fans shouldn’t bother if Zayn deleted his Twitter account, the only thing we should be worried about is if he is happy or not. Zayn. Hang in there x
Its terrible knowing that Zayn has deleted his twitter . But what can I say , he has a point . I just think he need some time . Hes been through a lot & people need to just back off & let him do his life . I wish him the best of luck <3 & I really want him back in twitter .

I still think that it’s perrie’s fault Zayn deleted I mean Louis & Liam get just as much hate that he does but they still stay, if he wasn’t dating her none of this would have happened I mean people still don’t believe in zerrie & it’s kinda true not to believe in it!
How do you get hate for tweeting, “Good morning. How is everyone today?” It’s ridiculous that some people give him hate for innocent things like that.
Zayn needed to take a break; no one should have to deal with all that backlash just because of fame. Zayn definitely doesn’t deserve it.
As a fan, I hope Zayn does reactivate his account just so we can all tweet him on a more personal level, but at the same time, I don’t want him to have to deal with that hate.
You guys saying that Perrie caused this or that he shouldn’t be famous if he cant handle the hate are voicing valid opinions but u guys gotta realize that in no way could perrie FORCE zayn to delete his account, that was purely him. Just because Louis and Liam haven’t deleted cause of hate doesn’t mean zayn cant I mean everyone handles hate differently. Plus lili and Lou see it all the time zayns not on that much so 2 c all that in one go can get to u really fast. Just give him some time to cool down stop bugging him.hell do what HE thinks is right.
I think it was good that he deleted his twitter for the time being. It might show some of his fans they need to watch what they say, because the boys see it and the fans opinion does have some effect on them. In my opinion, we should all just give him sometime to cool down. What some of the fans are doing is cyber-bullying and they don’t realize it. IT IS NOT OK!, its just like bashing on someone from your school but the only difference is he is famous (it can still effect them the same way). In conclusion, As fans we don’t know them personally so we can’t be calling them names, bashing their personal lives, Or making accusations. What we see is the media’s perspective not ours, they can’t possibly know whats really going on in their lives neither can we so just watch what your tweeting or saying to them. The reason they take what we say so seriously is because… THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN! I don’t think anyone would want to see some of those comments on their twitter. So just send them some love it seems like they need it and an encouraging word always helps.
I think he’s right to do that but not like forever ! ZAYN if you are reading this hopefully, I know that’s hard to get that much hate for stuff that you didn’t even do and it’s right that you deleted your twitter to make (not the haters coz they’re not gonna stop) but the fans who thought it might be right and tweeted you about to stop and start trusting you more, but please not forever , you have to come back for yourself and for us, I live in the other side other world and after you deleted your twitter, all of us felt far away from you ! we love zayn and we want him back . we want him to comeback for us coz the hate wasn’t from us so don’t say “the hate from his fans” Directioners never did/will sand hate tweets . its the haters who do that . we love our boys and I hope that zayn realise that and active his twitter page again xx
