Zayn Malik has admitted that he warned his girlfriend Perrie Edwards about what would happen if she decided to date him.

The One Direction star has been romancing the Little Mix star since April of this year and during that time, the pair have been bombarded by claims that he has repeatedly cheated during his foreign tours and trips abroad.

The constant speculation was enough to drive Zayn off Twitter earlier this year, after he admitted he was sick and tired of people accusing him in the wrong and hating on him and his girlfriend.

The ‘Live While We’re Young’ hitmaker was embroiled in a scandal during the summer, in which a fan released a video supposedly featuring him inviting another girl back to his hotel room in America.

Although the hunk denies cheating on Perrie, the stories don’t surprise him at all and during an interview with Now magazine he said:

“I told her ‘This is my job, this is what’s going to happen, stories will come out. Do you still want to be with me?’”

Zayn wanted Edwards to be clear about what she was getting himself into and added:

“That was established from the start and after that it was about me and her. Perrie has a lot of trust in me and I have a lot of trust in her. That’s why it works.”

He added: “Our jobs are full-on every single hour of the day. She gets that because she has to do exactly the same thing. We have a lot of trust and understanding between us. I think that’s why our relationship works.”

Some sources have suggested that Perrie is not quite as secure as Zayn may think though. Insiders told Star magazine that she is actually feeling very unsure of herself and of their future together, since the cheating stories broke.

One explained;

“Perrie was so upset when she heard the recording. She trusts Zayn, but it’s hard to hear your boyfriend flirting with other girls and talking in that way.”

They added:

“She feels humiliated. They are away from each other so much with their bands, so it’s important they can trust each other to be faithful.”
