Not even the harshest of critics could call One Direction singer Niall Horan fat, or at least, you would think not…

However, that’s reported exactly what a tattoo parlour worker in Los Angeles did when the Irish singer turned up for some body art!

While speaking to We Love Pop magazine about tattoos, and his 1D bandmates’ fondness for them – most notably Harry Styles, who’s barely got a square inch of uninked skin left – Niall said, “Harry and Zayn [Malik] are really going at it, aren’t they?

“Harry seems to have a different one every day.”

He added, “I did actually decide to get Made in Ireland in green on my arse cheek.

“I went to this place in LA but they wouldn’t do it.

“They said: ‘The skin on your arse is too squidgy. It needs to be tight.’”

However, it seems that Niall didn’t take offence at the remark.

He said, “I suspect they did me a favour. It wasn’t the best idea in the world.”

Meanwhile, One Direction star Liam Payne also revealed to the magazine that he worries that the 1D could end up being has-beens, despite the fact they’re the biggest boy band on the planet right now.

He said, “I just hope we don’t lose it too much this year.

“I don’t want us to fall out or have a situation where the band doesn’t want to be together.”

There have of course been rumours of late that Zayn Malik is fed up of being in the spotlight so much, and especially after Australian waitress and stripper Courtney Webb claimed she’s slept with him.

But nonetheless, the lads have remained solidly together, however, are Liam’s words a worry do you think? Could he have been hinting that there’s unrest behind the scenes?

Let us know what you think, but for now, here’s a look at the trailer for the lads’ forthcoming film…
