Niall Horan and Liam Payne very nicely decided to surprise some of their fans in London yesterday by putting on a bit of an impromptu concert.

The One Direction singers took some time out from recording their second album and while their bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson stayed in the studio, laying down their vocals, the duo journeyed to Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush and busked for a crowd of shoppers and staff.

As you can see in the video below the talented duo performed a very different version of their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, with Liam carrying the vocal alone while Niall accompanied him on guitar.

It was a fresh take on the track and we loved Payne’s alternative melody in the chorus and have to admit, that even though the whole thing was stripped back and live, with no effects, harmonies or backing tracks Liam still sounded amazing!

Much as we love Harry Styles, Liam even pulled off his little solo section of the song brilliantly and without causing a huge uproar, we would even suggest that he sang it better than Haz ever has.
