One Direction fans “gutted” to find their tickets to 1D’s gig weren’t valid! Police launch investigation into allegation of ticket fraud!
It’s been reported today that some One Direction fans have been left “gutted” after finding out that tickets they’d bought to see the 1D lads – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – in concert were worthless…
The upset fans only found out that their tickets weren’t valid when they weren’t allowed into the venue where the band were performing.
According to The Sun, the unfortunate fans were sold a package deal that included tickets to see One Direction live in concert and travel to the venue.
The paper reports, “DOZENS of One Direction fans were turned away from a gig after an apparent tickets scam, it emerged last night.
“Excited families paid £85 each for pairs of tickets and coach travel to see Harry Styles and Co.”
However, when the fans arrived at the venue, they were told that the seats sold to them were already taken.
Police are reportedly now investigating the issue, and the boss of the organisation who allegedly sold flogged the tickets and organised the transport has been arrested.
Around 40 fans arrived at Liverpool’s Echo Arena last Sunday with “a paper invoice” from the Cheshire based company who they’d paid their money to.
However, box office staff at the Arena “could only print six valid tickets” out of all those presented.
The paper quotes furious dad John Cuthbertson, who’s bought tickets for his partner and daughter to see 1D’s show at the arena on Easter Sunday, as saying, “I’m gutted.”
Meanwhile, the Echo Arena said it had not sold tickets for either show to the company at the centre of the alleged police investigation.
