Kerry Katona has once again spoken out about something that is patently none of her business and has declared that she didn’t approve of the relationship between Harry Styles and Caroline Flack.

The One Direction star (who turned 18 today) and the Xtra Factor presenter, 32, had been dating for a number of months, but announced their split last week and Kerry thinks the breakup didn’t come a moment too soon.

The reality TV star was among the many who disapproved of the 15 year age gap between the pair and told Now:

“That relationship was never going to work.

“I’ve met Caroline and she is a lovely girl – I’ve never met Harry but he’s only 17 and still just a boy and it just wasn’t right.”

The mum of four – who has been married twice and publicly conducted a number of failed relationships – added that she thinks Caroline needs someone a bit older and more mature and someone ready to settle down and she doesn’t think that man is Harry.

She added:

“He’s young, he’s in a boy band and he’s got the world at his feet.

“He doesn’t want to be settling down, especially as he’s not even old enough to drink yet!”

One Direction flew to America this week, where they were greeted by thousands of screaming female fans everywhere they travelled. They went to record a cameo appearance on hit Nickelodeon TV show iCarly and to meet with American record label bosses.

It has been claimed that Harry and Caroline will meet upon the band’s return and spend some time in a remote cottage in Cornwall, working on getting back together and belatedly celebrating Styles’ landmark birthday.
