One Direction had already ben confirmed as performers at this year’s BRIT Awards ceremony, but this morning the lads confirmed that they would be performing their new charity single at the event.

The ‘Live While We’re Young’ hitmakers will give their first live performance of Blondie’s ‘One Way Or Another’, which they will soon release in aid of Comic Relief, at the ceremony on February 20th in London’s O2 Arena.

The single is available for pre-order on iTunes from today and will officially be released on February 17, just in time for the BRITS.

Louis Tomlinson said:

“Getting the chance to perform Blondie’s song will be incredible. We’re so excited! Red Nose Day is a great excuse to have a lot of fun and to raise money, please get involved.”

Also performing on the night will be stars such as Beyonce, Emeli Sande, Robbie Williams, Mumford & Sons and Muse. Harry Styles is excited about joining the star studded lineup….sort of and on Daybreak this morning said:

“We’re very excited I think.”

Liam Payne isn’t taking it all in his stride though and confessed:

“We will be nervous, it’s mad just to be on the same stage as people like that.”

The boys recently rehearsed the song in Japan, and the audience performed a dance routine, which will be included in the official music video.
