Let’s face it, the One Direction lads are loaded, so do we really need to niggle into who earns the most money? Like… seriously? Of course we do, that’s what we’re here for…
So, it has been revealed that Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are the highest earners in the band, leaving Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Naill Horan trailing behind like peasants.
We’d have all thought that Harry was the one with the most amount of wonga in his bank account, but we’d have been wrong.
According to The Sun, the pair will have only edged past their bandmates because they co-wrote most of the songs on their latest album, Midnight Memories which means that they get a higher royalty cut than the rest of the lads.
As One Direction’s music sells like hotcakes, we reckon that Liam and Louis must be LOADED as co-writers take away around nine percent of the royalties per song.
Speaking to The Sun, Liam said that he and Louis have a partnership going on and they love co-writing the album tracks. They have been in the studio already and learning how to better their writing skills.
Liam went on to add that the lads’ next album will be a “game-changer for us. I’m excited”.
He’s probably excited at the prospect of how many extra pennies he’s going to profit.
Meanwhile, in other 1D-related news, it has been revealed that the lads are up for TWO nominations at this year’s Radio Disney Music Awards.
Simon Cowell was a bit miffed when he heard that the lads had not been nominated for an Oscar, so this must be icing on the cake, right? Radio Disney Awards…
Last year, One Direction won the award for ‘Best Music Group’ and they’re also up for the same award this year. Not only that, they’re nominated in the ‘Fiercest Fans’ group, which they also won last year too.
Despite being nominate for ‘Best Song’ last year as well, they’ve not been put in that category this year, unfortunately. Turns out Best Song Ever just isn’t the best song ever, is it? It got snubbed from the Oscars and now from the Radio Disney Music Awards.
So, can One Direction keep it up and win both awards again?
