Niall Horan has admitted that he was upset when his band’s new single was leaked online yesterday.
The One Direction star was in Ireland when an insider managed to upload the track to youtube, despite the fact that it’s first radio play wasn’t due until Friday 19th July.
‘Best Song Ever’ will be released on Monday and the band had a whole week of teasers and hype planned before fans got to hear the full version, but yesterday all the best laid plans were ruined.
In a new interview with Australia’s Nova Live radio show, Horan admitted that he wanted fans to hear a proper version of the song the first time round and he explained:
“Because it was leaked yesterday, obviously it’s a little bit frustrating as we were wanting the fans to hear it. Not a dodgy internet version….it’s a bit frustrating.”
The ‘Little Things’ hitmaker also told the DJ that he can’t wait to finish the US leg of his Take Me Home tour, so he can return to Australia on September.
Telling the host that Oz is one of his favourite places ever he raved:
“We miss Australia so much. We can’t wait to get back there. It’s one of my favourite places to go.”
Speaking about how much their lives and careers have changed since the last time they visited the country, the Irish star added:
“We’re just kind of rolling with it, we try not to think about it too much and don’t take anything super serious. We’re relaxed.”
Now Niall is just hoping that the Best Song Ever video isn’t leaked before Monday and he tweeted:
“So excited for you guys to watch the Best Song Ever video!! 4 more days!”
