One Direction have reportedly been spotted at rehearsals for the Olympics Closing Ceremony.

The X factor stars have been rumoured as one of the acts included in the special concert set to take place in the Olympic stadium next week and it seems almost certain that the lads will be taking part after they were spotted singing and dancing at a practice session for the ceremony on Monday.

A source told Unreality TV that the singers are incredibly excited about taking part in the legendary event, which will also reportedly include performances from Take That. The Spice Girls, The Who and Kate Bush.

Niall Horan will be particularly elated about the new gig we would imagine as he seems to be totally caught up in the Olympic fever that has been sweeping the nation over the last few weeks.

The Irish star ran for over a mile to make it on time to a boxing match which featured his pal John Joe Nevin earlier this week and last night he spent an hour chatting to the champion on the phone.

Horan tweeted:

‘on the phone to @johnJoeNevin for the last hour!He’s a sound lad!We grew up 100 yards away from eachother,now he’s goin for an olympic medal’

Liam Payne seems to be loving all the sporting events too and tweeted this week:

’100m im soo excited sooo buzzing im nervous i never get nervous whats goin onn!!!!’
