Harry Styles may have tweeted that he fancied Rihanna at the Brit Awards on Tuesday night but insiders say that he actually had his eye on the lady of the evening Adele.

The lads from One Direction had a big night, after winning their first ever award when they triumphed in the Best Single category and they leapt onto the stage to accept their trophy, thanking their legions of loyal fans and supporters.

After paying tribute to the thousands of teenage girls who voted for their single ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ the boys then spent some time assessing which females they would most like to get close to for the rest of the evening.

Insiders say that the teen sensations enjoyed eyeing up a scantily clad Jessie J, and Caroline Flack’s tiny hotpants did not go unnoticed, however Heat magazine report that Harry Styles made a beeline straight for ‘Rolling In The Deep’ hitmaker Adele.

Sadly for him, the talented red head was immune to his charms and onlookers say she couldn’t tear her eyes away from her new man….not shocking as she was definitely wearing a ring on her engagement finger.

Niall Horan also set his sights high and was said to be captivated by international pop superstar Rihanna, who received the award for International Female Solo Artist before taking to the stage to deliver a raunchy performance of We Found Love.

James Corden made a bit of a joke with the lads, teasing them about the fact that they are linked to every and any female they meet and also ribbing Harry about his penchant for older women.

While interviewing the X Factor stars after they won their award, he asked the curly haired cutie if he was now stepping out with Celebrity Big Brother winner Denise Welch.

Harry laughed: “Yes, it’s true,” prompting the Gavin and Stacey star to exclaim:

“It’s true, he loves a Loose Woman!”
