One Direction’s Harry Styles & Zayn Malik plead with fans in “Enough Food For Everyone IF” charity video
One Direction were clearly moved by their trip to Africa last week and the sight of the the Ghana slums which they visited have moved them to join an important charity campaign.
The fab fivesome travelled with Comic Relief, in advance of releasing their charity single – a cover of Blondie’s ‘One Way or Another’ – and all tweeted about the difference the visit made to their lives and their outlook.
Today a video was released for the new movement “Enough Food For Everyone IF” and the group are featured pleading with their fans to help put an end to malnutrition and global hunger.
In the clip, Haz says:
“One third of children in Sub-Saharan Africa are malnourished.”
The gorgeous Zayn continued:
“Big corporations avoid paying millions to Africa every day. If we stop this, all of Africa could have enough food to eat.”
The campaign is being backed jointly by UNICEF and Oxfam, and other famous faces in the video include Nina Wadia, Myleene Klass, Orlando Bloom, Bill Gates, and David Harewood.
Harry tweeted about his African visit last week saying:
“incredible time in Accra, Ghana. @rednoseday we will always owe you for taking us. Thank you .xx”
Liam found it all very eye opening and added:
“Having the most amazing few days of my life !”
