One Direction’s Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne & Harry Styles play with their dolls & meet David Beckham!

The One Direction boys aren’t afraid of acting like children and playing with dolls and action figures, especially if the toys bear an uncanny resemblance to themselves!

On Tuesday of this week Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles posed and played with their brand new range of dolls, as they met with fans and press at a private concert in Westwood, California.

The dolls have been released on general sale in America only and are made and distributed by Hasbro. They even sing! How cool is that?

The boys are currently coming to the end of their Take Me Home tour and they wrap up the US gigs by playing four shows at the Staples centre in LA.

Niall Horan can’t believe they are almost finished in the States and seems to be enjoying the last of their gigs and he tweeted yesterday saying:

“Well good afternoon Los Angeles California! What’s up? I can’t believe we are just about to play 4 staples centres! That’s just nuts! Wohoo”

“Los Angeles! Always good t be here! Unbelieveable show tonight at the staples center! Thank you! Doin it all again tomorrow’

Louis Tomlinson added:

“Amazing show today !! Loved it ! Can’t believe we just played the staples centre! Sickkkkkkkkk”

The band were in for a bit of a treat yesterday, as they got to meet one of their footballing idols in LA and Horan revealed that David Beckham brought his children to see them play, posting:

“met our footballing hero ! Mr David beckham! He brought the boys and his little girl to see us! What a Nice Man ! So courteous !”

Look I’ve got nothing against One Direction, I don’t think they’re the ‘bees-knees’ or anything but I think their music is pretty good, I admire their hard work ethic and what they’ve accomplished so far….but do they (or more likely their management!) have to copy Take That with the dolls thing?! It’s like they saw the blueprint and are just replicating the formula: “yeah, done that…tick…done that…tick…WAIT!…we need dolls!” – its probably their management! -_-
