Peter Kay Beats Leon Jackson With ‘Winners Song’

Peter Kay has beaten former X Factor winner, Leon Jackson, in the battle for number one single this week, with his spoof reality TV show song, )’The Winners Song.’

Kay’s single was co-written by himself and Gary Barlow and was featured in last weeks satire, Britain’s got the Pop Factor, which played on talent shows such as The X Factor and Pop Idol.

Kay charted at number two with Leon coming in at the number three spot. Pink beat both with her track, ‘So What.’

Geraldine sent a message of consolation to Jackson.

She said: “Leon is a lovely wee boy, he’s a Scottish Michael Buble. There’s enough room for everybody.

“I never knew he had a song because I’ve been in hospital all week – he’s not number one though is he? Isn’t it Pink? I love Pink, although I wouldn’t like to get on the wrong side of her.”
