Rage Against The Machine will donate part of their profits to Shelter

OK, so we’re a bit confused. A few days ago we heard that rock band Rage Against The Machine had vowed to donate all of the profits from their single ‘Killing In The Name Of’ to charity. In fact we gathered from many of the comments left on our blog, that this promise was a big reason why many fans downloaded the single this week.

All week the band have been backed by a huge Facebook campaign in a bid to help push their single ‘Killing In The Name Of’ to the number one spot, therefore beating Joe McElderry’s ‘The Climb.’

As it was announced that Rage had scored their number one tonight, singer Zack de la Rocha told Radio One that the band would be donating ‘part of the singles profits’ to Shelter.

So has this promise been misreported in the media or have the Rage boys backtracked in a massive way? Leave your comments below.
