Ray Quinn and Leona Lewis Through To X Factor Final
After the shock eviction of Ben Mills from last nights X Factor competition, Simon Cowell has control of the X factor final.
Ray Quinn and Leona Lewis will be battling it out next week for the title of X factor winner and for the chance of achieving a Christmas number one single.
In the final show Leona and Ray will perform four songs each. These will include:
A new song
A Christmas song
Their best song of the series
The X Factor winners single
What would you chose as Ray and Leona’s best song of the series so far? I liked Rays My Way, for Leona, I’m just not sure.

i am so chuffed that ray got into the final…he really deserves it!! everyone should vote for ray to win,as…yes leona is amazing but she is going to get a record contract out of it anyway,whereas ray hasnt got that guarantee.he has really proved himself on xfactor especially in the last three weeks.his performance on saturday for ‘walk on’ was the best performance of the whole show.he had me in tears! he is so young and has got so much confidence but he is not cocky with it.he is also by far the best performer in the whole competition,and if you think of it like this…leona has got the better vocals but she isnt a performer,i would buy her albums but i would go to 1 of her concerts as she isnt a performer whereas ray is a born and natural performer.like louie says…he has got the best personality,and he is the only one who goes out every week and gives it 110%.vote 4 ray,that way they wil both get a record contract! x
Ray isn’t actually deserving of a record contract if vocal talent is in question…but its not, as Ray is soooo popular with all the young tweenyboppers, etc he will have a couple of hit singles then fizzle out…or at least go into musical theatre where I have no doubt he will be great.
Leona should win the X-factor, she fits the pop star mould really well.

i can assure you lola that i am not a ‘tweenybopper’ as you call them, but leona is dull she has n amzing voice and nobody can deny that but she hasnt got the whole package.she needs to build up her self confidence before taking on the pop industry.you also say that ray would make a few records and then fizzle out…i disagree as that is a judgmental opinion as i could make that same opinion on leona if she were to win.look at all these other xfactor finalists who say it is there dream and yet they release two singles and then they are nver to be heard of again, so this is not to say that leona will be more sucessful if she wins than if ray wins.i hope that ray goes out there on saturday and gives it his all like he does every week, and i hope it all pays off for him with kate thorton callin rays name out for the winner of xfactor 2006!!
Gosh someone must be easily pleased. “You’ll never walk alone” not a patch on Gerry Marsden of Gerry and the Pacemakers and certainly nowhere near the original Shirley Jones version from Carousel, yes the old musical 195? or 196? can’t quite remember exactly but there you have it.
Ray’s performance was marred by tears and emotion, the thought that this was the week he was going home. The song of course is an anthem for all fans of football and has been so for a long time before the tragedy at Hillsbrough.
Ray’s best performance was in fact several weeks ago on Saturday this song was flat in places and laid to far back in terms of production of sound, he was almost drowned out.
As far as voting is concerned you should vote in accordance to what you would buy, that is the principal behind the programme, that consumers of music buy the CD’s from the winning artist.
I would like to think that win or lose Leona would have a contract, but there are far to many promises made to up and coming singers which are then broken. I say you should vote with your heart be truthful to it, who will you buy from the record shop? Leona or Ray?
It will be Leona for me as I personally feel that Ray’s musical theatre career could well have a head start and just maybe “with a little bit of luck” a lengthy one.

I thought about this and if it was a cd single then Id likely buy Leona but I in the main buy album CDs and there I would prefer Ray as I’d likely get more varied performances, Leona for a whole album would likely have me taking it off after the same performances of any song after afew tracks, Ray could do many varied styles, swing, pop, ballads,I think he may even manage swing/pop which would entertain me far more than Leona, also ‘live’ I’d likely rather pay to see Ray (even in Shows) than pay to hear one and a half hours of just the same ,great performances admittedly, treatments of every song by Leona. It would be boring after a time.Rod.

Ray is a bundle of fun. I can imagine going to a Ray concert and leaving completely entertained. I can’t say the same for Leona. The same goes for albums.
But even though I don’t mind who wins, because my favorite has already gone, I think it will be Ray.

& N_xx you are assuming that I called you a ‘tweenybopper’, I actually made a statement that Ray has the support of all the ‘tweenyboppers’ , but nowhere did I mention exclusively he is only supported by this category. I still think people in this category will vote for Ray – take a look at the comments on his pages and you’ll see what I mean

Definately ‘THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT’ for Rays best song. The way he sang that was soooooooooo incredibly sexy, which would be a great selling point!

Actually I think Ray would give a great performance in concert as well as in a west end show, West end shows did Michael Ball and Elaine Paige no harm and both are successful recording artistes and concert sell out acts too.No Ray has the much greater ‘whole’ x factor package than Leona,her voice is grest,her stage presence ‘dire’ to say the least.Rod.
I think Rod, that you have to think about hiow the PR and marketing people and all the other people who will be managing Leona will transform her image, and who knows if she wins and becomes successful I’m sure there will be a transition where she exudes confidence and does become interesting to those who think she isn’t.
I’m not doubting Ray may do well for a while, but not neccessarily as a ‘pop star’, there is alwayus room for a ‘cute boy’ in the space…but I juts don’t think he is worthy of popstar status. I do still think he would be great in the West End, as he is more theatrical & ’stage schoolesq’

For me it has to be Ray to win!!!! No-one can deny Leona has a wondeful voice & an incredible range but I think Ray has the personality to back him up & it appears Leona has already had many doors opening up for her without even claiming the X Factor victory!! So therefore I will be behind Ray all the way.
I actually want Leona to do well and if she is managed correctly and re-styled anything is possible.
But she has got to let her hair down and have some voom voom voom. Brenda from last year was on a chat show last week and she just a bundle of fun and personality. You have to have this if you want to stay on top.
Most of the most successful singers in the world do not have great voices, but what they do have is great songs and a great attitude.

look whose landed a record deal he couldnt of been thayt bad could he i will def buy his record when out leona will be a one hit wonder.
I think Sarah she will have other hits but I feel this single is going to be so huge that no matter what she does from now she will NEVER emulate its success and all that follows will seem less successful because of it, Having a Christmas no.1 adds novelty tag to the song and most great stars avoid that at all costs, she will do well,maybe the States will take to her for longer but she will I think be swamped by the already great Female talent out there who will not want their places threatened, they will have the ability to re invent if necessary and for live performances stringing songs together and entertaining chat with an audience for one and a half to hours in concert is something Leona will have great problems with and if she goes to the States she will need to get a rapport and style very quickly to suerive the critics there. I wont be buying the single because I dont like the song or her way of singing it, I will buy recorded work of Ray though, He was fantastic with WESTLIFE and showed how brilliant live with anyone he could be.Rod.
