Ray Quinn Dropped By Record Label
Ray Quinn, the midget swing singer who faced Leona Lewis in last years X factor final, has been dropped from his record label.
Ray’s debut album topped the UK charts, but record company Sony BMG have still decided to drop the 19 year old from their books.
A source told the Mirror: “Ray is focusing on TV and West End stuff now. TV execs are even saying he could get his own chat show.”

What a hoot!
Simon Cowell could not have been clearer when he said at last years’ final “We intend to take Leona and work with her on a quality album. We’ll not be making the same mistakes we made in the past and rush releasing an album to capitalize on X Factor”.
That rule about quality obviously didn’t apply to Ray Quinn, and we knew he’d get one album before getting dropped. Hopefully he heads of to the West End, but I can’t see him fronting a chat show.
Not one that would have ratings anyway.

Just goes to show the true reasoning behind offering Ray the chance to do an album in the first place.
Simon was aware that Ray was popular so thought he’d cash in on it. Obviously hasn’t managed to cash in enough and has cancelled the second album Ray was expecting to bring out as a follow up.
Simon was also aware of vast numbers of Ray fans being disgruntled at not being able to vote last year and he was undoubtably aware that Leona would win and bring in the pennies no matter how long the album took to be released. Giving Ray the chance to do an album wa thus an attempt by Simon to placate fans and to compensate Ray.

Gutted he dropped Ray.HE did not deserve it and i was looking forward to the second album!

how mean r the people/person who wrote! he is not a midget! he is a perfect singer nd should not of been dropped! i rele want 2 have a fat go at the record company. I LOVE U RAY!
