Rebecca Ferguson’s X Factor performance massively boosted album sales!

Rebecca Ferguson’s performance on last week’s X Factor results show, is said to have massively boosted sales of her debut album.

The mum of two returned to the ITV stage on Sunday, to give a stripped back, live performance of her first single ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ and it was received so well that online retailer Amazon reports that they recorded a 702% jump in pre-orders of her album ‘Heaven’ following the show.

Global superstar Rihanna also strutted her stuff on the show and her performance led to the X Factor effect on her album sales, after Amazon claimed to have a 424% increase in sales of her latest release Talk That Talk.

‘Heaven’ will be officially released on December 5, but it looks like Ferguson has a lot of support and backing which should help it top the charts.

After hearing her X Factor comeback and performance on Sunday, former head judge Simon Cowell tweeted:

“I am absolutely blown away by @RebeccaFMusic, her album, her performance. Congratulations!

Cheryl Cole also wrote about her pride in both Rebecca and Cher Lloyd, who she mentored on the show last year. She told her Twitter followers:

‘So proud of what my girls have achieved @CherLloyd and @RebeccaFMusic are doing so well!!’

Minutes later, she linked to the official music video for Rebecca’s debut single Nothing’s Real But Love, adding:

‘Just been watching this…wow.’
