Well this is one of the weirder Cheryl Cole stories we’ve heard in a while….

The Sun reports that TV astrologer Russell Grant has sent a batch of healing crystals to Cheryl Cole, to help her get over her recent X Factor letdown.

The former Girls Aloud singer was said to be devastated when Simon Cowell sacked her from his American judging panel and the newspaper claims that pals were so worried about her state of mind, that they contacted the supposed “crystal power expert”.

A source said: “Cheryl’s friends have been really concerned. They told Russell to send her whatever he thought she would need.”

Russell added: “Cheryl needs this at the moment. I feel sorry for her. I think she has been really let down.”

This whole story sounds like a blatant piece of self promotion on has-been Russell’s behalf. It seems like he’s trying to cash in on Cole’s name and fame and we bet she hasn’t even opened his package……if he even sent the crystals in the first place!
