Sam Bailey is enjoying a short break before the X Factor tour kicks off next week but she’s promising big things for the new shows.

The final eight X Factor 2013 acts will take to the road this month, starting their tour in Belfast, and Sam told her fans that rehearsals are going ‘great’ so far.

The mum of two tweeted this week saying:

“Rehearsals are going GREAT XX yay xxx”

She added:

“Looking forward to a fantastic tour guys. It’s gonna be AMAZING!! X”

It’s set to be a busy period for the star, because as well as performing on an almost daily basis up and down the country, she’s also going to begin promo work for her debut album, which is set to drop in March.

Bailey got her first listen to the new tracks today and tweeted:

“Just had a sneaky listen to my new album x Can’t wait to share!! Xx”

Meanwhile, it’s likely that the former prison officer will be invited back to perform on The X Factor later this year and when she returns, she’s revealed that she’d like to see an experienced singer on the panel.

Gary Barlow has left and Nicole Scherzinger’s future on the ITV series looks shaky and in an interview with Digital Spy, Sam said she’d like a big named performer passing on their advice and tips to new stars.

“I’d like to see Mary J Blige join the panel because they need to have a proper belter singer on there. If Nicole goes, there’s no-one who can train someone to sing big songs – and most of the contestants they have are expected to sing big songs every week.”

She added: “They need someone who’s been singing massive power ballads for years, so I think she’d be perfect.”

No announcements concerning this year’s X Factor lineup have been made yet, however it was reported this morning that Louis Walsh will be back.

The star insisted last year was his final series and told reporters that he wanted to make the most of life outside the ITV juggernaut, however it seems he’s had a change of heart.

As it looks more and more likely that Simon Cowell will return to the judges’ table, the Irish star is reportedly keen to make a comeback and apparently bosses are in agreement.
