Scouting For Girls have admitted that their new album ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’ has been inspired by celebrity culture and The X Factor in particular.

“The record is a comment on the world which is obsessed with TV. Our song is a celebration of that,” singer Roy Stride told the Daily Star.

“I think it’s really easy to be cynical, but I love The X Factor. It gives people in their early 30s who have grafted, like we did, the opportunity to succeed.”
