Sexy rocker Eddie String goes a little bit mad on tonight’s X Factor (VIDEO)
Eddy String is one of the more energetic acts featured on tonight’s X Factor show.
The series returns for the second episode of the weekend later this evening – and the fifth of the 2012 run – and we can promise you that during Eddie’s audition at least, you will not be bored!
Many people have compared the 18-year-old from Worthing to last year’s hopeful Frankie Cocozza, but we like him better, he can actually sing and he has heaps of personality….thankfully it isn’t all about his bum!
In Eddie’s VT he tells producers that he thinks it’s time someone brought the ‘rock and roll’ to the ITV juggernaut and he thinks he’s the man for the job. String has been rocking out ever since his infancy and spent his formative years ‘prancing’ around his parents’ conservatory and ‘sing ‘Killer Queen’ to them.’
Eddie told the judges that he knows he can stand out from all the contestants wanting to be like ‘Adele and Rihanna’ and said that while the competition is clogged with hopefuls wanting to be just like their crooning idols, he wants to be the only one ‘wearing women’s jeans and singing The Strokes.’
String eventually does take to the stage and performs The Strokes ‘Last Night’ for Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Tulisa and guest judge Leona Lewis and judging from the pictures above, Lou Lou enjoys his performance more than most.
Ed jumps on the judges’ table, serenades them from above, before returning to the stage for a spell of jumping, screaming and singing for the audience, who in return were going pretty wild for the handsome singer.
Tune into the X Factor at 8PM tonight to see Eddy String’s full audition and in the meantime, you can hear him singing in the video below. Have a listen and tell us if you think he’s good enough for the live shows….
Meanwhile, if you want to see who all the acts through to bootcamp so far, check out our list here!
