They may have once been mortal enemies, but Sharon Osbourne seems to have softened with old age and has managed to speak nicely about Dannii Minogue.

Dannii was announced to be leaving The X Factor last month and Mrs O – who famously clashed with the Australian star on earlier series of the ITV show – claims that she was pushed out and didn’t walk of her own accord.

Speaking about her former arch nemesis’ departure, Osbourne told Perez Hilton: “I don’t think she was pushed, I think she was f**king thrown.”

However, she did manage some nice words for the new mum, adding:
“We didn’t [get on]. I didn’t enjoy working together, but to hand it to her, she ended up being really good on the show. She did do good and held her own. You gotta hand it to her.”

When Hilton asked if Osbourne had read what Dannii said about her in her recent autobiography, the mum of three laughed and said that she never opened the book. She added:

“You know what, when people say things about you, if you don’t respect that person or like that person, what does it matter to you?”

“People can only hurt you if you really like that person and they don’t like you. Then it’s hurtful.”
