During the auditions for X Factor 2006, celebrity judge Sharon Osbourne was branded Sharon Abdul by her fellow judges, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

They mocked Sharon due to her diva like behaviour and poor time-keeping. On one occasion she rolled in an hour late, after an late night partying at Elton Johns latest bash.

Two weeks earlier Paula Abdul arrived 8 hours late to take her place as guest judge, and carried on throughout the day making diva like demands.

A show insider said: “When Sharon did turn up it reminded Louis and Simon of the nightmare they’d had when Paula arrived late, making diva like demands.

“They called her Sharon Abdul much to her annoyance. Louis and Simon thought it was hilarious and it kind of stuck.”
