Anyone who watched the X Factor last night may have wondered who the baldy addition to Sharons team was. We all know and love Mark Hudson, who helps Sharon out every year, but this other man was new to our screens.

It turns out that the mystery man is no other than Sharon Osbournes first love and the man with whom she lost her virginity.

Sharon speaks openly about Adrian Williams in her recent autobiography where she reveals:

She said: “We began going out when I was 17 and he’s stayed in my life ever since.�

Sharon details their five-year romance and admits she was heartbroken when they split after Adrian — whom she calls a “huge, huge womaniser� — cheated on her with a hairdresser.

She says of her ex, who is now also in his fifties: “We were friends before anything else.

“He thought I was funny, I made him laugh.

“And I think he saw it as a bit of a challenge that I knew nothing about sex. Nothing.�

Sharon was devastated when she found out that Adrian had been cheating on her.Iin typical fiery form she threw all his clothes out of the window and trashed his flat.

She admits: “Basically I had destroyed the house.�

She wrote: “He was in an impossible situation. He worked for my father, he was going out with me. How could he tell me it was over? I think that subconsciously he had worked out a way of my finding out for myself.

“Of course I was devastated, completely obsessed. I’d see him every day. He was there in my face. And I was mean to him, horrible. I was like a woman possessed. But I couldn’t stop myself.

“And he had gone off with his f****** girlfriend from Vidal Sassoon’s and she was very beautiful, very artistic and very thin.�

However, two years later Sharon returned to England from Los Angeles for a visit and saw them walking down the street.

She said: “They were so much in love and so happy. I thought, ‘What am I doing? Look at how much they love each other’.

“And it all fell away. It was as if everything lifted away from my body. All the jealousy, all the resentment, just went.�

Sharon and Adrian (now a boss at Sony BMG) have since then remained close friends, and Adrian has been a constant figure in her life. Earlier this year she asked him to make a guest appearance on The X Factor and help her decide her fianl 4 finalists.
