The Sun newspaper has today reported that Sharon Osbourne is intending to leave The X Factor after this years series.

A source told the newspaper: “Sharon has been shuttling between LA and the UK while filming X Factor and America’s Got Talent, so she didn’t feel quite ‘in’ with everyone during recording.

“And she’s fed up with Cowell trying to pit her against Dannii. She feels that it’s time to move on.”

They added:

“Sharon hasn’t told any of the top brass about her intentions yet.

“She wanted to keep this quiet as she makes her final decision. But she’s now set to announce it in the second part of her autobiography. She hasn’t fallen out with anyone, but thinks it’s time to go.”

However, Unreality TV received an email from ITV producers today refuting the story in the Sun

With regards to the story in today’s Sun there is absolutely no truth in the reports that Sharon will be leaving The X Factor at the end of the year. We are currently in LA filming with Sharon, which she is thoroughly enjoying, and as Sharon herself says, “I have absolutely no plans to leave The X Factor at the end of the year, I’ve had great fun filming this year’s series and I’m really looking forward to the live shows”.
