Sharon Osbourne got a telling off from ITV bosses for her suggestive comments to contestant Shayne Ward last saturday night.

Instead of judging his performance, Sharon informed Shayne that she had something to give to him. This ‘thing’ was warm, lovely and smelt really nice. Although Sharon wouldn’t be any more specific than that viewers were left in little doubt as to her meaning.

An insider revealed: “Sharon appears to have forgotten this is a family show.

“We have lots of young viewers who love to tune in every week to watch their favourite acts.

“It’s not really appropriate for Sharon to talk to Shayne in that overtly flirtatious way.

“Everyone loves Sharon and she is great entertainment but on this occasion she has gone just that little bit too far.

“She was given a slap on the wrist after Saturday night’s show and asked to cool it.”
