Shayne Ward gets to meet his wax double
X Factor winner Shayne Ward came face to face with his waxwork at Madame Tussauds - and declared: “My mum’s going to love it. She’ll probably want to take it home with her.
The chart-topping singer sat for Tussauds sculptors early last month and donated a £900 Gucci suit for the figure to wear.
Madame Tussauds said it had been inundated with requests from young visitors to make Ward the first reality television star to become a wax figure at the attraction.
He said: “It’s just fantastic. I can’t get over it.
Fans can also see him giving tips on how to be a pop star on a large plasma screen behind his wax double.
After winning X Factor, Ward’s debut single That’s My Goal was the Christmas number one, selling more than one million copies.
The song went on to break records for the fastest-selling download in a day.
He has just released his new single, No Promises, from his debut album, Shayne Ward.
