Now it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but rumours suggest that American Idol bosses are considering airing a Simon Cowell week on the show.

The idea came about when the third live round aired on US TV on Tuesday night. Show host Ryan Seacrest referred to Simon’s constant criticism of the contestants song choices and asked the judge why he doesn’t simply pick the songs himself. “Well, I will,” Cowell responded. “We’ll have a Simon Cowell week.”

Producers are said to love the idea for a themed week and are considering letting Simon run free for a week and choose songs for all twelve finalists.

However maybe after watching this clip of Scott Bruton singing ‘Yeah Yeah’ which Simon chose on the X Factor, American Idol bosses will reconsider. Watch the judges comments after the performance, even Simon admits that he made a mistake!
