Should Louis Walsh be sacked from The X Factor?
There’s been plenty of debate about Louis Walsh and his decision to knock Laura White out of The X Factor last Saturday. He’s been tactically voting throughout the competition – he knocked Austin Drage out, then Laura – both strong contenders in the competition.
Many people – myself included – believe that Louis’s tactical voting is ruining the show.
Louis Walsh has a history of knocking talented acts out of the competition to suit his own needs – he sacrificed Maria Lawson a few years ago to save The Conway Sisters. It later transpired that he knew their family personally, and Sharon Osbourne rightly called him out with a comment about the Irish Mafia.
And isn’t it interesting that within a couple of weeks, both Louis and Simon had whittled their acts down to just one each? I said a few weeks ago that it was strangely co-incidental that Louis should be so bad with girl groups, yet be holding auditions for a girl group of his own.
Anyway, aside from his voting, the constant references to Westlife (is there a week in this series where Louis hasn’t mentioned them?), and his childish sniping at Simon are showing him up as being thoroughly unprofessional.
So, having said all that, should Louis be sacked?

Can someone please do something about Louis’ sniping all the time at anyone who dares have an opinion differing from his. He is proving to be childish and spitefull. Also, it is so obvious that he voted Scott and Austin out after each other, after snipping at Simon. Then the next week he starts with Cheryl, and oooo, look, there goes Laura now.
Its just such a shame that people who actually have decent voices are voted out because Louis is spitefull and childish. This isnt a talent show anymore, Louis want all the limelight on him. Im not watching from now on. I think ill watch Strictly come Dancing. No wonder it won the award away from X Factor!!!!
Why is everyone so againsed Louis, Simon and Dannii also voted againsed Laura, I think that people didnt vote for her because of her “boyfriend”
Danni voted for Laura as she was up against her act Ruth. Simon voted for Laura as I think that he thought Louis would of taken it to deadlock personally. It is so obvious that it was childishly done by Louis, I ijust wish he would come out, he may be a bit happier then, its not a stigma anymore, especially in the music business.
I dont actually think that Laura was the best singer in the competition if im honest, but she was much better than Ruth. I think that the best singers were/are, Alexandra, Diana and Austin. JLS cant sing to save their lives, always out of tune, but they do put on a good show.
But, whats done is done. It should be left there, and they should go back to judge on pure talent, not vote people off for their own means. Obviously they want their own acts to do well, but it should be judged on singing alone.

I completely believe that Louis tactically voted out Austin, as he has been threatened by his talent from the beginning. I just want to say I love you Austin, you are too talented and individual 4 d x factor. They just want a puppet that they can control. I have checked out all your gigs with your band on utube, absolutely fantastic. At least now you can be master of your own artistry, no1 trying to push u in2 anything u are not comfortable with. I luv d stuff u have done like Wishing Well, & Run Around Sue. I hope there is an old school Rock n Roll flavour 2 ur album. Frankie Lymon, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, wud be a brill song 4 u to cover. I luv dat kind of music, & u cud bring it back.
