Simon Cowell has finally confirmed rumours that he is engaged to marry 36 year old makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

During an interview on Jay Leno’s tonight show, when asked if he was betrothed the X Factor boss said:

‘Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy.’

After enduring some teasing by Jay, Simon confessed: “I am blushing. I find this very uncomfortable. I was asleep, I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London.”

The music mogul said he wanted a wedding “in the next 10 years” and added: “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of me’s around in the future.”

The couple even had a wee snog in front of the audience….how cute!
