Simon Cowell consulted X Factor boss on whether to save John and Edward Grimes

Simon Cowell - X Factor

Simon Cowell has been accused of consulting The X Factor’s executive producer Richard Holloway before making his decision to send the show to deadlock and effectively save John and Edward Grimes last night.

The Sun reports that Cowell and Holloway were seen “in deep discussions” during the ad break which preceded Lucie Jones and Jedward’s sing off.

A source said: “[Cowell and Holloway] seemed to be discussing what to do. Should they get rid of Lucie, who can obviously sing really well, or finally get rid of the twins?”

The insider added: “The producers always claim that Simon doesn’t know how the voting goes before he makes his decision. But after the intense conversation with Simon, Holloway was seen whispering in the ears of judges Dannii [Minogue], Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh.”

  1. [...] it’s clear that vested interests are guiding his comments, and now it looks very much like tactical voting is becoming part of his game plan as [...]

They know how the voting is going each week and they do not usually have this meeting so obviously the meeting was to decide whether to go on the best singer or who would get them the most publcity and they went for the most publicity. Trouble is it may have back fired on them because the publicity is very negative and a large group of people think the X-Factor is no longer a credible programme and are going to stop watching.

i will NOT be watching X-Factor now untill the twins have left,it was absolutly disgraceful that lucie left and the twins stayed.
Even if ..god forbid it happens,….the twins did win, they wouldnt have a future in the pop world anyway..i have lost all faith i had in this show, its pathetic

I honestly don’t understand all the hatred toward Simon Cowell. He has recently back-pedalled on his negativity toward the twins (last week especially). Even more so, he’s made some not so flattering comments about Lucie. And so what if he decided on letting the voters pick who stays instead of choosing “your” favorite. It wasn’t Simon who voted the twins to stay, it was the public. And if you think the X-Factor have enough money to bribe all the voters tuning in, then they should be running the country. Don’t make Simon the bad guy. If you have anyone to blame it’s the Britich public who could have voted for Lucie – - but didn’t! P.S. No, I’m not a twin supporter.
