Simon Cowell has admitted that he hasn’t yet signed a deal with ITV for next year’s X Factor series. The Sun reports that Simon wants an investment of £3 million in the show before he agrees to take part in 2010.

At yesterday’s press conference Simon admitted:

“We’re negotiating with the network and it’s not about salaries for the people on it – it’s how much money are you going to invest over a period of time.”

He added: “We always said we’d stop making the show when people n very successful because ITV have invested a lot into it to make it better.

“I think there is genuine interest from the people behind the show to bring it back – but if we do, it needs to be better than this year.”

Rumours have already emerged that Simon wants next year’s live final to take place in Wembley arena and have different celebrity guest judges on the panel each week. He is said to be aiming to increase viewing figures from around 15-16 million per show to 20 million.
