Well thats what the boys from Whitestar appear to think anyway.

Alan Fraser, John Kerr and Russell Graham who make up the band Whitestar and made it through to the bootcamp of this years X Factor were offered a 2 million pound record deal by music moghul Mr Cowell in 2004, when they were part of Scottish boy band Braveheart.

The boys thought they had hit the big time when Simon’s company BMG offered them the recording deal and put them up in a penthouse in Surrey. unfortunately the compny’s interest cooled and the boys were left high and dry.

Although the band never actually met Simon, he chose them as part of the boyband from photographs and video clips and they honestly thought he would remember them when they showed up at this years X Factor auditions.

Alan said: “We were worried that people would think we’ve got through because Simon remembered us. But I honestly don’t think he does because he’s never mentioned it.”
