X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue, has revealed that she is planning to try to crack the American TV market thanks to Simon Cowell.
Danni claims that she never would have had the confidence to move to America before Simon Cowell gave her a judge role on Australia’s Got Talent and the X Factor.
Dannii, 36, told The Daily Star: “Simon does three shows a year – Britain’s Got Talent, American Idol and X Factor.
“I am doing Australia’s Got Talent and then X Factor in the summer and then I’d love to do a project in America.
“I didn’t have the confidence to look for work in America before doing X Factor. But that show achieves 13million viewers and there is no bigger in Britain.
“So you think: ‘Well what do I do next?’
“In the US, a show like American Idol rates 34m and I think: ‘Well something like that is actually the same amount of work, so why not do it as well?’
“Also now is a good time to try, given that so much of TV in the States comes from British formats and they seem much more open to all accents.”
