We reported back in Decemeber that Simon Cowell was considering legal action against the BBC as they announced a new programme named Just The Two Of Us.

Simon Cowell stated that Just The Two of Us is the same in every detail as the forthcoming series his own Syco company is making named Star Duets, whcih was planned to air on ITV1.

But the threat of legal action has now disappeared and Simon has scrapped his plans on the new show, and the BBc is running with their version instead.

He says, “It was a bit galling when I first read about the BBC show as we’d worked on production on Star Duets for about a year.

“There is no way we could do the same show. You win some you lose some.

“But Stars Duets will be a bit hit in America.”
